The pandemic ruled out a complicated production process. Restrictions that were in place for months ruled out the formation of a film crew. Many locations were closed or could only be entered under rigorous restrictions such as keeping a social distance and wearing a mask covering mouth, nose and chin. The vlog form fitted well within these restrictions: it only required one person and a camera.
Whereas the restrictions started out as a problem for the non-vlog episodes, they turned out to be an ever more interesting incentive for Beatka and Onno to use their imagination during the preparation and recording process. Rather than a hindrance, the restrictions became a stimulus for entering fresh roads. The cyclorama became a metaphor for the production process: every element was consciously added to a near void.
